If you just want to be informed of news about the SMKSASESA, drop me a note as well and I will move your e-mail address into the correct group. I'm moderating the chatter and only forward the pertinent ones. You can read past mailings at http://samadian.tripod.com/mails/] ------------------------------------------- Oops. I have to apologise to those who tried the above link earlier. I was too hungry and had to go out for lunch before I could do up that page. It's there now. I may have missed some but I'll amend them when I can. To the newcomers, welcome to SamadNet - an informal network of ex-Samadians on the net. Our starting point is http://samadian.tripod.com/prakash.html Prakash was my Headmaster then. This is a crude way of restricting outsiders from see the site since Tripod, the webhost provides very simple facilities. Pls read the terms and conditions and the faq (will be up soon) for more info. Now, back to our new portal. I better make it clear now - we are NOT charging anything for SamadNet. If the portal offer optional subscriptions in the future, it would be for some value-added services to justify the expense. We hope to collect subscriptions FOR the SMKSAS Ex-students Association. It's just one of the convenient methods for SMKSASESA members to renew their annual fees (RM30). Remember, members are discharged from the association if they fail to renew within 90 days. [Hints to Bala in UK, Victor, Daphne, Foong Chow, Chune Titt, Jin Yu, etc. in Kiasuland, Pek Lee in Canada, Wai Yee in Hong Kong, Anthony in Penang, Pushpa in the South China Sea ...] The development of the portal is in progress - website, domain name, etc. We'll open this up for beta testing (IT speak for "beta than nothin'") once we have the forum function in place. We have some exciting plans for the portal in the pipeline - stay tuned. Meanwhile, do continue to spread the word and overflow my address book.
