If you wish to opt out from the list, please send a note to me. If you just want to be informed of news about the SMKSASESA, drop me a note as well and I will move your e-mail address into the correct group. I'm moderating the chatter and only forward the pertinent ones. You can read past mailings at http://samadian.tripod.com/mails/] ------------------------------------------- Hi Bala, Sorry for talking too much geek. :-) The Portal runs on Mambo, an Open Source software (software generally written by volunteers and is free as in freedom and generally free as in free beer as well). The various functions such as news, archives, user registration, chat forum, etc. are written by different groups of volunteers. Since Mambo is fairly new, not all the functions are functioning stably. The forum function written by Two Shoes Module Factory is now finally usable without causing problems to the server. Without a forum function, I have to personally screen every incoming mail and determine whether I should redirect it to the list or not. I also have to make an archive of that outgoing mail to be stored on the website for easy viewing. Mistakes do happen because of this clumsy approach, such as "forwarding" your recent mail when I should have press the "Redirect" button instead. There are subtle differences. And without the forum functions, many of the mails directed to me alone would flood your mailboxes without any moderation (if we use an unmoderated mailing list such as usenet, yahoo groups, etc.). Hope that explain things a little bit. Regards, jason >Hi Jason, > >Thanks for staying the course.
